adventure-stories Have you ever been exploring at night? Not all animals sleep at night you know. There are some that are active mostly at night. These are called nocturnal animals. Have you ever heard the red-eyed tree frogs at night? They are nocturnal. Owls too. They come out at night and you can hear their hoot hoot. Have you ever seen a raccoon in the day? That’s because they are also nocturnal animals.

There are lots more than just these few. Some of the others are opossums, bats, beaver, coyote, rabbits and even skunks. The next time you go exploring at night, be on the lookout for these creatures of the night.
